Welcome One and All. You have arrived: Here.

Not necessarily the most glamorous of places by my own admission, but it'll have to do for the time being.
Having been physically forced into doing this by a certain Sally McConnell, I had no choice by to come onto Blogger and start spilling the details of my life onto the internet for one and all to read. I believe, without doubt, I will challenge your intelligence at some point throughout the course of my blogging, be that through asking intelligent questions requiring equally intelligent answers, or perhaps through completely melting your brain with stuff even I don't comprehend.

But anyway, I shall start by introducing myself, Gary Uprichard, very nearly 18 from a lovely little village in the back end of nowhere, Aghalee. My time is spent being studious, being a farmer, or being an accountant, all three of which I find to be good uses of the time I have. I shall soon also be a photographer when I finally buy my nice flashy camera, and can already claim to have taken some lovely photos, albeit not with my own camera. In fact, later on in this post, I shall give you a link or two with which you will be able to view some of my finer photos, and hopefully enjoy them as much as I do.

I'm a Christian, nothing to be ashamed of, in fact, I'm incredibly proud of my faith, with it being an integral part of my life. Without God I'd not be here, I wouldn't exist, and even for that I'm endlessly grateful. So when you start to consider that he didn't only bring me onto this earth, but he gave his only son so that we can all live with him in Heaven, you can begin to imagine how thankful we ought to be that God does what he does. I strengthen my faith at a small church, Craigmore Methodist, but despite being rather diminutive in size, it more than makes up for it in the feeling of community that exists there, not only amongst the members of the youth club, but amongst the adults and other young people as well.

Craigmore Youth Club made me who I am today. Many people would argue that school would shape your life more, but I've only really began to feel fully comfortable in school over these past one or two years. I've made so many amazing friends at Craigmore, and had so many life changing experiences, that I doubt anything could be as influencial in my life. For example, Craigmore brought me closer to my cousin Christina, whom I would trust with my life, Sally, who despite her lack of life experience (apologies), is in my opinion one of the best Christians I know, and one of my best friends, if not my best friend. I also got to know Sam, who is such a light to me, and Ross amongst others. It also gave me a means of keeping in touch with Gareth, and others from primary school, for which I'm also thankful. The leaders are also such an inspiration to me, every single one of them has made some sort of impact on my life, and to each I'm very gracious for everything they've done for me. And now, as a leader myself, I feel so much more involved in the running of the youth club, and even church. I feel that God has given me this responsibilty and wants me to do amazing things with my life.

God speaks to me through music, and art. Praise and worship take my breath away, they seriously do, and never more so than at Autumn Soul 2008. God really spoke to me that weekend, and this year, I look forward to it more than ever. He also inspires the photos I take. After all he sacrificed to put me on this earth which he created, I may as well try to give him something back. Despite all it's human flaws, this planet is simply beautiful. Nothing quite compares to a colourful flower or a flowing stream full of fish, and to capture that moment eternally is just a joy to behold. And once I get my camera after my birthday, there'll be no stopping me. Anything that's there to be snapped, it's gonna end up on this screen in front of me, no doubt about it.

My Website

There's a few of my photos, you'll see that fill up significantly in the near future. And on the second link is a website I designed, with even more fancy computer generated goodness.

My school life consists of maths. Brilliant I know. Maths, more maths, physics and a bit of German. What makes it even more bearable is the fact that in every single one of my classes I have Nikki Laverick to keep me company. She really is fantastic, she understands my humour, and is able to sympathise with my problems. We're basically the same person as has been explained to many a person, but happily so. And what's even better, she's smarter than me. That makes beating her all the more sweet, and thus getting me better grades in important exams. That's how my thinking goes anyway, as to whether it'll actually work or not is another matter. But I'll miss her, I know that much.

I also have a rather fantastic girlfriend. Miss Courtney Girvan. Despite being a little bit ditzy at times, she's not all bad. She might not understand all my jokes, but I still make her laugh, which is always a good thing. And I can almost ignore the constant swooning over Michael Jackson and JLS to listen to the good things she says. Good things generally consist of anything that doesn't involve those two. But nonetheless, she's rather class, and I really haven't anything bad to say anything about her.

And finally, due to peer pressure, Steve. He's my brother, and demanded a mention. I think that'll do.

Peace out, and God bless.

Gaz.
